NATHANIEL NELSON

 

 

I am a 22 year old jack-of-all-trades from Buffalo, Minnesota and Corvallis, Oregon, currently based in Winona, Minnesota. I’ve been devoted to film and design for as long as I can remember, having been raised by a family of artists to appreciate and glamorize the arts. I found my love for writing and storytelling at a young age, through spending nights listening to my father's tall tales and watching classic films in my early teens.

 

I am receiving a double major in Journalism and Film Studies from Winona State University in December of this year, with a love of telling stories in visually arresting ways. I have four years of experience working as a freelance videographer, specializing in documentary and creative filmmaking, with some experience in graphic design and photography, and nearly eight years of experience in media criticism.

 

My style has grown from the places I've lived, the people I've met, and my growth as an individual. Equal parts nostalgic and modern, I like to convey emotion through personal voice and simplicity. My life is centered around aestheticism, cinema, and the growth of local art, so let’s work together.
